The Royale Chulan, KL

The Royale Chulan hotel was designed by my firm a few years ago, but some of us have not got the opportunity to visit it yet.

Son on the second day of the PAM 2009 convention, my boss organised a dinner there for his staff from the KL, Sibu and Kuching branches.

We had a room to ourselves, and 4 neatly decorated tables

Unfortunately, work isn't that far away from some people's minds, but doing something is better than doing nothing while waiting for the dishes.

The Oriental Four Seasons combination started our dinner off.

It was also pretty interesting that the Hotel Manager dropped buy to welcome us and say a few words.

Braised seafood soup with fish lips..

Stir-fried chicken in yam basket. I've tasted better ones elsewhere though...

Steamed seabass fish with superior oyster sauce. Quite a tasty fish.

My favourite - stir fried fresh prawn with oatmeal flakes.

Braised Tau kan with trios of mushroom and green vegetables.

Fried rice with seafood and pineapple.. could be more flavourful..

double boiled chinese fig with sea coconut.

Thats about all folks. See you next year!

The food is pretty good, and pretty standard for a KL hotel. I'd wholeheartedly recommend it.
